Supreme Judicial Court vacates judgment based on unlawful foreclosure, acknowledging the amicus brief filed by Pamela Kogut on behalf of Chelsea Collaborative, Lynn United for Change, and Merrimack Valley Project. The SJC overturned the Housing Court's decision to allow Bank of New York to evict a homeowner after a foreclosure, ruling that the Housing Court failed to consider that the foreclosure violated Massachusetts law.
